Crypto Teddies: Free-to-Play Collectible Card Game Joins Enjin
Welcome Enjin's newest adopter, Crypto Teddies, a fuzzy fighter game building on JumpNet and Efinity.

We are happy to welcome Crypto Teddies as the latest member of our rapidly growing Adopter Program!

CryptoTeddies is a free-to-play online collectible card game (CCG) that lets you collect teddies and enlist them to fight in the Teddy Warzone.

The game takes you on a fierce clash against opposing teddy coalitions, each fighting for ultimate power. Your mission is to defend the land and defeat the power-hungry communes attempting to seize the Teddy World.

And that’s only half the jar of honey: under CryptoTeddies lies a robust blockchain infrastructure powering a new era where you can actually own and trade the stuff you earn in-game.

Offering a community-driven experience, Crypto Teddies aims to be a thrilling CCG for gamers, complemented by high-end non-fungible token (NFT) functionality.

Each CryptoTeddy is both a game card and an NFT. All in-game cards, avatars, badges, and collectibles are backed by Enjin Coin (ENJ), which can be unlocked either by playing matches against the AI or in the game’s Matchmaking Lobby.

That means you get real-world value with every token you play to earn.

"We plan to change the way CCG asset ownership is done, making things like fraudulent cards and hacked accounts a thing of the past."

— Mark Kennedy, Game Designer & Project Lead, Crypto Teddies

Cards can be used in collector contests or to level-up in rankings, bringing additional utility to players and their assets. As you progress through the game, your NFT stash will also expand: the more cards you collect in CryptoTeddies, the more you win as a bonus.

Rather than building their own blockchain solution, the Crypto Teddies team chose Enjin’s robust developer suite and gas-free JumpNet blockchain to build an NFT game— without having to worry about the technical hassles, time, or costs typically associated with building on blockchain from the ground-up.

“We decided that rather than re-invent the wheel, we would use Enjin's toolkit to give our users the best blockchain experience the gaming world has seen yet. With JumpNet, we will be able to eliminate transaction costs for our users and make our games truly free to play.”

Thanks to Enjin’s ecosystem and scalable infrastructure, Crypto Teddies is  creating a genuine free-to-play environment, doing away with fees for its gamers on JumpNet.

In the future, the project will migrate to Efinity, infusing its NFTs with next-generation features, including the ability to subsidize players' transaction costs via Fuel Tanks.

CryptoTeddies is launching Closed Beta testing in December 2021, followed by public release in 2022!

If you haven’t done so yet, sign-ups for Beta testing are still being accepted on the Crypto Teddies website, and you can follow along with their progress on Twitter, Telegram, and Discord.
