Expanding in Japan: Enjin Partners with HashPort Accelerator

As we work to build Enjin's presence in the Japanese gaming & crypto markets, we are proud to unveil our strategic partnership with Tokyo accelerator HashPort.

A hub for innovation, Japan has a rich history of world firsts brought to us by a thick tapestry of technological leaders.

The global engineering power is home to some of the biggest game development names in the world. From classics like Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros. to Pokémon, Street Fighter, and Final Fantasy, Japanese game developers have brought us major titles whose influence reaches far beyond the gaming world—not to mention groundbreaking consoles like the Famicom, Game Boy, and PlayStation.

After the results we’ve experienced since formally expanding our presence in South Korea last year, it should come as no surprise that Japan is Enjin’s next port of call.

With over 67 million gamers and an estimated $19 billion in gaming revenues, Japan is the third-largest games market in the world—and a prime location for our blockchain gaming innovations to take hold.

HashPort: Innovating Japan with Blockchain

We are thrilled to announce our official introduction into the Japanese market through a strategic partnership with Tokyo-based HashPort Accelerator.

HashPort will serve as a business liaison and provide us with localization support, including assistance with getting Enjin Coin (ENJ) listed on cryptocurrency exchanges and business matching with Japanese companies with potential synergies.

With the shared goal of promoting adoption of blockchain technology and the Enjin ecosystem in Japan, we will work closely with HashPort to deploy our blockchain products and services among forward-thinking game developers in the booming Japanese games market.

“It is a great honor to support Enjin as the first project in HashPort Accelerator. We are excited to work with the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem developer on their entry into Japan.

We believe Enjin’s success in Japan will accelerate not only the growth of Enjin in the global market, but also the development of the Japanese blockchain game industry as a whole.”

— Seihaku Yoshida, HashPort Accelerator Founder

Based in Tokyo, HashPort Accelerator strives to innovate Japan with the world’s leading-edge technologies by supporting select international blockchain projects with expansion into the Japanese market.

To ensure each project’s success, HashPort provides business and localization support, including assistance with cryptocurrency exchange listings, business matching with Japanese companies, public relations, events, and more.

“The HashPort team has a great track record of introducing and popularizing high-potential projects to Japanese markets. It’s an honor to work with them in bringing Enjin to Japan, where blockchain is proving to be a powerful force for social development and the games market, which, with 67 million players, is home to some of the most innovative and forward-thinking developers in the world.”

— Maxim Blagov, Enjin CEO

We look forward to working with HashPort to take Enjin’s presence in Japan to the next level, and we’re proud to take another significant step forward in our quest to radically transforming gaming on a global scale by bringing real-life economies to virtual worlds.
