Last year, we introduced the Annual NFT Awards, a program aimed to form a sense of collective thought leadership to guide the non-fungible token (NFT) space forward.
At Enjin, we've believed in NFTs before we even knew what they were called, having come up with the idea of "custom coins" back in 2017. Years later, it's safe to say the momentum of this technology has exceeded all expectations, particularly during 2021.

This year's Awards will celebrate the best of the Metaverse, honoring NFT projects driving the future of human experiences in 10 categories.
Together with our partners and the broader community, we hope to help illuminate the path forward for innovation with blockchain technology—and inspire the next generation of creators.

Of course, it wouldn't be a proper celebration of the Metaverse without a party in a virtual world. NFT Award winners will be honored in a ceremony hosted in Decentraland on February 10, 2022!
Community Awards will be fully determined by public voting.
Judge Awards will be determined by a panel of judges, selected from the top-10 public voting shortlist.
The top three finalists in each category will be honored with an award.

If you've ever stepped foot into NFT Twitter, you've likely been met with a friendly "gm" from one of the most passionate, exciting communities in the digital sphere.
For the NFT Awards to truly represent this vibrant collective, it's imperative that nominations and voting are open for everyone to participate, without gatekeepers.
That's why you can nominate and vote for any project (even your own!), irrespective of its affiliated platform or the blockchain it calls home.
To help ensure a fair voting system and prevent abuse, we've implemented registration via Memberstack, and select categories will also be evaluated by our judging panel.
Nominations for non-NFT projects, duplicate nominations, and submissions containing insufficient information will be deleted by our moderation team.
To help evaluate the best of the Metaverse, we've invited leading creators, tech experts, and NFT enthusiasts to join our distinguished panel of judges.
Web 3.0 is the ultimate destination for gaming and innovation in the Metaverse, fueling industry growth and underpinning a more democratic creator economy.
Understanding this, and in support of overcoming the obstacles faced by NFTs and blockchain games, Enjin will be hosting a session to flesh out this discussion at GamesBeat Summit Next. The session will be held on November 9, 2021, alongside GamesBeat Lead Writer and NFT Awards judge Dean Takahashi.
