What's in store for the Enjin ecosystem for the rest of the year?
In our latest ecosystem update, Enjin CTO Witek Radomski and COO Caleb Applegate share details about our upcoming product releases and roadmap for Q4 2021.
We launched JumpNet earlier this year as a simple solution to the challenges posed by Ethereum network congestion and fees.
As a free, carbon-negative solution, JumpNet has made it possible for our partners to mint and distribute non-fungible tokens (NFTs) without fees—or concerns about environmental impact.
Through conversations with our early adopters, we realized that fast and free wasn't enough: we needed to support additional functionality with smart contracts, and make JumpNet fully capable for larger use cases.
In Q4, our plans for expanding JumpNet include:
Beam is a first-of-its-kind tool that can deliver NFTs to anyone via the simple scan of a QR code. Available to partners like Microsoft and SwissBorg in private access, Beam has already been used to distribute over 500,000 blockchain assets.
Fee-free transactions on JumpNet have reignited the demand for this technology, with over 350,000 items Beamed since the launch of the network this year.
Now, it's time to scale it.
We're currently looking at a capacity of 100,000 NFTs per Beam campaign, with plans to expand this to millions.
As we develop and scale Beam, we will be opening the self-serve platform in Early Access this year, allowing anyone to easily distribute NFTs to a wider audience.
Our wallet is an Enjin flagship, launched all the way back in 2018. Since then, we've spent years of consistent improvements, iterations, and features, from blockchain gaming support to integrated exchange platforms.
It's not taken lightly the challenge of rebuilding a widely-used app from the ground up. With increasing demands for multi-chain, DeFi, and NFT capabilities, we're evolving the wallet to be a more robust, seamless, social experience than ever before.
Put simply, we want our users to be able to do more.
We've increased our mobile development team to deliver a top-of-the-line app experience, which will also tie into key Efinity features like staking (collator nomination).
Creating a truly next-generation experience in the rapidly changing NFT space is no small feat. Rather than launching the site with a narrow feature set tailored to a select group of partner campaigns, we've decided to approach the project more holistically.
When it goes live, we want our users to have access the full NFT.io marketplace experience, including auctions and re-listing/trading capabilities. You can expect this to launch in December of this year.
We're on a mission to make Enjin synonymous with both NFTs and gaming, and building a product ecosystem to support that end goal.
Beyond these four core products, we're building out additional capabilities across our product ecosystem, from major improvements to the Enjin Platform and new SDKs, to continued development on the Efinity parachain.
This also includes the Paratoken Standard being developed for the Polkadot ecosystem, staking, a future web wallet (more to come on this), and more.
Stay tuned for our next update, where we'll be giving a preview of our shiny new website which is launching later this month!
