Starstone

Starstone is a high-fantasy trading card game from Starstone Studios that takes resources out of the draw. Any creature can attack or work the Mine for the resources a deck needs, so no match is lost to a dead resource hand and there’s no need for a mulligan. Creatures evolve with elemental Shards.

The web version at starstone.game is Starstone’s Enjin hub. Link an Enjin Wallet there and an NPC called the Waystation checks it for supported collections, starting with Enjin’s Blobs and Multiverse NFTs, which the community has held for years. Each unlocks in-game gifts, and some add a companion creature to raise and take into battle. The check is read-only, so nothing leaves the wallet, and gifts go with the NFT if it’s sold. The idea comes from Monster Rancher 2, where any CD could summon a monster.

The card game itself is free to play in Early Access on Steam, with ranked matchmaking and cross-platform play, and mobile is coming. A creature-battling RPG set in the same world is on the way, along with the Mint, where players will turn creatures, equipment, and items into NFTs on the Enjin Blockchain. Trading those NFTs is planned as the core of Starstone’s economy. The team rules out pay-to-win: spending goes mostly to cosmetics, in-game currency can’t be bought, and matchmaking keeps players within their tier.
