As the chapter closed on the tumultuous year that was 2020, CoinMarketCap (CMC) announced an innovative collaboration with Enjin to create a unique, commemorative non-fungible token (NFT) called "RIP 2020." This NFT served not only as a symbolic farewell to the difficulties and uncertainty of the past year but also as a celebration of the resilience and unity demonstrated by communities worldwide.
In order to be in with a chance of winning one of these 500 limited-edition CoinMarketCap "RIP 2020" NFTs, participants were encouraged to engage in a series of tasks accessible through a provided link. These tasks aimed to encourage community engagement and foster a sense of camaraderie as the world collectively embraced the prospect of a brighter, more hopeful new year.
The event, which took place between January 6, 2021, and January 12, 2021, featured 21 tasks for participants to complete, with the likelihood of winning an NFT increasing in proportion to the number of tasks completed.
Adding to the excitement surrounding these NFTs, the "RIP 2020" tokens were designed to be compatible with six popular games across various platforms, including Bitcoin Hodler (mobile), Forest Knight (mobile), Kingdom Karnage (PC and mobile), Lost Relics (PC and Mac), MyMetaverse (Minecraft), and The Six Dragons (PC and PlayStation).
