The Enjin Ecosystem legal team is a finalist for Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) Team of the Year in the Asian Legal Business (ALB) Pan Asian Regulatory Awards 2024, alongside leading Singapore-based platforms Crypto.com, Anchorage Digital, and Coinhako. This is ALB’s first time recognizing compliance teams and follows the team’s earlier recognition in ALB’s mainstream legal awards.
The team is the only blockchain project team to be nominated under the VASP Team of the Year category. This is a substantial recognition of legal capability within the Enjin ecosystem because VASP compliance expertise is typically a focus of centralized platforms.
The team helped navigate complex VASP blockchain issues ranging from the Enjin Coin and Enjin non-fungible token (NFT) migrations when Enjin Blockchain launched, a Japanese game publisher’s launch of NFTs on Enjin Blockchain, and multi-country VASP issues for apps such as Enjin Wallet and the NFT.io marketplace.
Unlike typical VASP compliance teams, the team oversees cross-disciplinary compliance issues on payments and money transmission, securities, tax, AML/KYC/CFT, intellectual property, data privacy, and other regulatory regimes relevant to digital and gaming assets. The team has experience across major jurisdictions including the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Japan, and Singapore.
The VASP Team of the Year shortlisting follows the team’s prior recognition:
The team works under Atlas Development Services, a core contributor to Enjin Blockchain.
